”Reflected Gratitude”

In the City

The first spring winds blow

through the streets,

and the late spring sun

falls on a midweek afternoon.

Lately, I think—

yes, maybe now—

the old energy

is finally coming back.

The air is warm,

rain falls now and then,

but the rhythm of the days—

each routine—

has begun to feel good again.

After the rain,

the asphalt breathes,

its damp scent calling—

the faint promise

of another season waiting.
