Garden Walk

In the freshness

of morning’s first light,

I wake.

Called by the spring breeze,

I step into the garden

and wander.

Birdsong,

the whispering stream,

sunlight falling through leaves—

I stretch, reaching

toward the dawn.

And for a moment,

I stand there,

holding the flowers in my gaze.
